Advanced Debt Advisor Training Course

Description of the programme

This is an internal training program available for senior debt advisors working at Christians Against Poverty, who have at least two years of advice experience.

Delivery Channel(s)

A combination of live face-to-face training events (either in a classroom or using Google Meet), Online reading and self-led sessions.

Pre Requisite Learning / Pathway / Accreditation for Prior Learning

Must have completed Christians Against Poverty’s Advice Work Level Training, also referred to as CAP UK’s Debt Counselling Training Programs – Advisor Route.

Individual Certification

The course is only open to those who have already completed CAP’s internal training at Advice Work level (see above)

What are the outcomes?

This course is accredited to Casework/Specialist level only. Casework/specialist activity will involve an adviser taking on responsibility for the conduct of a case and/or an adviser taking action on behalf of the client. The adviser drives and manages the case and maintains a continuing relationship with the client. Negotiation, advocacy and representation where appropriate are common features of casework.
